New Board Members Appointed to the Capital Community Foundation, Inc.

Raleigh, NC (December 1, 2008) – The Capital Community Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of four new board members:  Steve Bryant, the owner of the Carolina Mudcats and President of Capital Outdoor, Inc in Four Oaks;  Barbara Poteat King, the owner and President of Travel Odyssey, Inc in Smithfield;  Gloria Clark Sprunt, business owner and community volunteer in Wilmington, and Richard "Dickie" Thompson, former chairman of the Raleigh Planning Commission and executive at J.M. Thompson Company in Raleigh.

The Capital Community Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit, was created in 1995 to assist persons in their philanthropic endeavors while also leaving a legacy of charitable giving for generations.  With the Capital Community Foundation, donors can maximize their charitable giving while taking advantage of income tax benefits.
